An elementary — and very entertaining — introduction to wine tasting.

About the Experience
Wine can be an intimidating subject, even for people with an interest in it. This event teaches guests how to taste specific flavors in wine — green apple, cinnamon, buttered popcorn — using jelly beans. Yes, jelly beans. To create a sense of friendly competition, each guest tries to identify one of ten flavors in each of four wines, using the candy as a guide. Hosted by a sommelier from Eleven Madison Park (voted world's best restaurant in 2017) and a Brooklyn-based comedian, Wine for 3rd Graders is a low-key, entertaining way for your guests to learn more about wine while enjoying each other's company.
Meet your hosts
Chris Dooley is the former Assistant Wine Director at Eleven Madison Park (named “World’s Best Restaurant” in 2017). He currently works for Major Food Group, a hospitality group operating twenty-one restaurants worldwide.
Greg Warner is a Brooklyn-based comedian who knows next to nothing about wine. And honestly not much about jelly beans either.

Duration
Wine for 3rd Graders is a 90 minute event. One-hour and two-hour options are also available.
Scheduling
Please book your event at least two weeks in advance in order to give us enough time to ship a tasting kit to each member of your group.
Other
Wine for 3rd Graders is not available to guests in Alabama, Delaware, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Utah, as these states prohibit the shipment of alcohol. Wine for 3rd Graders is only available in the continental United States.
