About the Experience

Nothing competes with Champagne in terms of elegance. But that doesn't mean it can't keep some less elegant company! In this event, we pair the sophisticated — Champagne and (optionally) caviar — with the mundane. Who knew that Doritos, popcorn, Japanese snack crackers, Bugles, and other junk food are some of the best things to pair with Champagne and caviar? We did... and now you will, too. Plus, we'll show you how to make a classic Champagne-based cocktail, the French 75, along with an innovative twist created by the event's host, Jack Schramm.

 

Meet Your Host

Jack Schramm is a butcher-turned-barista-turned-cocktail-professional at the highest level. Until Covid put the NYC bar scene through the wringer, he was head bartender at Greenwich Village's beloved high-concept cocktail spot Existing Conditions. These days, Jack is a full time internet bartender with a sideline running his jello shot startup, Solid Wiggles.

 

What’s included?

  • Half bottle of high quality Champagne

  • A variety of snacks selected to pair optimally with Champagne (and with caviar, for packages that include caviar)

  • 200ml bottle of gin

  • Nonalcoholic ingredients required to create two versions of the French 75

 

Premium options

  • Caviar (0.5oz or 1.0oz; various options available, ranging from hackleback to golden osetra)

  • Caviar spoon

  • Custom-engraved wine glass

  • Second Champagne

  • Super premium Champagne

  • Full bottle(s) of Champagne

  • Champagne stopper, to preserve freshness

Duration

High Brow/Low Brow is a 90 minute event. One-hour and two-hour options are also available.

Scheduling

Please book your event at least two weeks in advance in order to give us enough time to ship a tasting kit to each member of your group.

Other

High Brow/Low Brow is not available to guests in Alabama, Delaware, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Utah, as these states prohibit the shipment of alcohol. High Brow/Low Brow is only available within the continental United States.
